【诺迪食堂】Devil's Food Cake 魔鬼蛋糕

It is called Devil's Food Cake because its rich and heavy chocolate in the cake. So it is a moist cake. You may fell guilt after you have eaten it.

这蛋糕之所以会称为魔鬼蛋糕是因为它用了很多容易发胖的原料去烘培,吃了会有罪恶感。



This weekend, I baked a Devil's Food Cake for a friend of mine as a birthday cake for him








RECIPE

Ingredients:
1. 180g of plain flour
2. 1 teaspoon of baking powder
3. half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
4. 60g of cocoa powder
5. 100g of butter (soften)
6. 225g of icing sugar
7. 2 eggs (beaten)
8. 4 tablespoon of sour cream 

Frosting:
1. 2 eggs white
2. 350g of icing sugar
3. Pinch of salt
4. Pinch of cream of tartar

Directions:-
1. Preheat the oven for 180'C.
2. Mix the plain flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and cocoa powder together in a mixer.
3. Gradually add in the butter (soften), icing sugar, eggs (beaten) and sour cream in the mixer for about 8 minutes.
4. Put the mixed dough into the 8 inches mould and send into the oven to bake for 40-45 minutes for 180'C.
5. Mix the  eggs white, icing sugar, salt and cream of tartar together for 8 minutes until it looks fluffy and stand.
